Labor and Industry Ending Walk-in Building Plan
Reviews
Harrisburg – The state Department of Labor and Industry is
terminating its long-standing practice of performing building plan
reviews for walk-in customers.
Plans can be submitted through state Senator Bob Robbins' district
offices or mailed directly to the Bureau of Occupational and
Industrial Safety. The termination of walk-in reviews is effective
Feb. 1.
According to bureau officials, implementation of the Uniform
Construction Code program in April will leave no staff or office space
to handle customer walk-ins.
The senator has district offices at 259 Main Street, Greenville
(724-588-1323/724-983-5047) or toll-free (1-800-222-8793); and 312
Chestnut Street, Room 112, Meadville (814-336-2760).
Plans also can be mailed directly to: Buildings Section, Bureau of
Occupational and Industrial Safety, Department of Labor and Industry,
1600 Labor and Industry Building, Harrisburg, PA 17120.
