Robbins Announces $400,000 Housing Grant
Benefits Delaware, Jefferson, Pymatuning townships,
Clark Borough.
Harrisburg – State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) today announced the
awarding of $400,000 in aid to support housing rehabilitation in the
townships of Delaware, Jefferson and Pymatuning and Clark Borough.
The HOME program funds will be used to provide deferred housing
rehabilitation loans to an estimated 21 homeowners with very low
incomes and low-to-moderate incomes. The loans will help the
homeowners bring their single family homes up to minimum standards,
said Robbins.
"Housing rehabilitation benefits not only the homeowner, but the
surrounding community," said Robbins. "These funds will help improve
the quality of homes in these four municipalities."
HOME is a federally funded program that provides local governments
with loan assistance and technical assistance to expand the supply of
decent and affordable housing for low-income and moderate-income
Pennsylvanians.
It can be used to assist new construction, rehabilitation,
acquisition of rental or sales housing, and rental assistance.
