Robbins Announces Funds for
Crawford County Household Hazardous Waste
Collection
Harrisburg – State Senator Bob Robins (R-50)
today announced the awarding of a state grant to
help pay for the collection of household hazardous
waste in Crawford County.
Robbins said the Crawford County Solid Waste
Authority will receive $6,061 to cover half of the
cost of developing and operating a household
hazardous waste collection event. Common types of
household hazardous waste include paint,
pesticides, cleaners and home electronics.
"The average household features plenty of
materials that can be considered hazardous when it
comes time to throw them out. Residents need a
safe way to dispose of them," said Robbins. "This
grant will reduce the financial burden associated
with properly disposing of such waste in Crawford
County."
The grant is being awarded under the
Pennsylvania Department of Environmental
Protection Small Business and Household Pollution
Prevention Grant Program.
