FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Robbins Announces Funds for Mercer County Stream ImprovementsHarrisburg – State Sen. Bob Robbins (R-50) today announced the awarding of the two state grants to support stream restoration projects in Mercer County. Robbins said Stream Restoration Inc. will receive $80,000 for the design and implementation of an aerobic wetland treatment system on Fox Run. The senator added that the City of Hermitage will receive a $35,000 grant for the Baker Run stream enhancement project, which will assist in the protection of homes threatened by stream flooding. "I am pleased to announce that these locally-run projects will be receiving state assistance. Responsible projects to protect our streams and water supplies, run at the local level, deserve to be supported," said Robbins.
