FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Robbins Re-Elected to Senate Leadership PositionHarrisburg -- Senate Republicans have re-elected their leadership team for the 2005-06 legislative session – including Senate Majority Caucus Secretary Bob Robbins (R-50). As the Senate Majority Caucus Secretary, Senator Robbins handles all nominations submitted by the Governor to the Senate for approval. He reviews the background and experience of the nominees and ensures that proper documentation is submitted. "I am honored by the support shown by my fellow Senators, and I plan to continue to use my leadership position to benefit the citizens of my district and the citizens of the Commonwealth," Robbins said. Republicans will retain the same members who currently serve in Republican leadership. Majority Caucus Secretary is the fifth-ranking leadership position in the Senate Republican caucus. Republican Senators also re-elected the following caucus leaders: Sen. Robert C. Jubelirer, R-30 (President Pro Tempore); Sen. David J. Brightbill, R-48 (Senate Majority Leader); Sen. Jeff Piccola, R-15 (Majority Whip); Sen. Noah Wenger, R-36 (Majority Caucus Chairman); Sen. Mary Jo White, R- 21 (Majority Caucus Administrator); Sen.
