Robbins Announces $75,000 Westminster College Compost Grant

Harrisburg – State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) announced today that Westminster College is being awarded a state Compost Infrastructure Grant.

Robbins said the $75,000 grant will be used to increase the amount of organic material collected and composted at the college and preventing it from entering a landfill.

"Westminster College is taking an innovative approach to disposing of waste, and this grant helps offset the cost," said Robbins.

The Compost Infrastructure Grant Program, which is administered by the Department of Environmental Protection, is open to businesses and non-profit organizations that operate composting operations.
