The legislators said the grant is reimbursement to Sharon for 50 percent of the cost of preparing and revising the official city sewage plan, as required by state Act 537. "The City of Sharon is keeping up its end by meeting the requirements of Act 537, and it's only right that the state reimburse the city for some of the cost," said Robbins. The grant was awarded through the Sewage Facilities Planning Grants Program, administered by the state Department of Environmental Protection. "I am pleased to announce this state assistance to help the City of Sharon meet its sewage planning requirements," said Gruitza. CONTACT: Mike Hengst (717) 787-1322
