FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Robbins Announces $150,000 Assistance for New Wilmington PoolHarrisburg – State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) today announced the approval of a state grant for the New Wilmington Borough pool. Robbins said the $150,000 grant will be used for repairs and improvements to the pool. "Community pools are gathering places for young and old to enjoy exercise and recreation," said Robbins. "This grant is one of many in the state, and I am committed to making sure communities such as New Wilmington get its fair share of assistance." The funds are being awarded through the Community Conservation Partnerships Program. The CCPP initiative is administered by DCNR Bureau of Recreation and Conservation to provide financial and technical assistance to local governments, river and trail organizations, land trusts and other nonprofits for the planning, acquisition and development of park, recreation, conservation and greenways projects. Funds are provided by the Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund and the Environmental Stewardship Act Fund. CONTACT: Mike Hengst
