FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Robbins Announces Grant to Complete Titusville Towne Square Conference CenterNew anchor building for heart of commercial district Harrisburg – State Senator Bob Robbins (R-50) today announced the approval of a state grant to complete the Titusville Towne Conference Center in the commercial district. Robbins said the $30,000 grant will be used to complete the 4th floor of the conference center. "The goal is to make sure it has the latest technology and meets current building standards, but also pays homage to the heritage of Titusville," said Robbins. "There is already great interest from local and regional groups to use the space for seminars and training. It has also stimulated interest from Internet Technology businesses for office space on the floors below the conference center." The Community Revitalization Program grant was awarded to the Titusville Redevelopment Authority. Executive Director J. Michael Allyn said the grant was vital for completing the project. "Senator Robbins has been a part of nearly every, major Redevelopment Authority project I can think of, and this is an important one," Allyn said. "This grant will make the Conference Center more than a mere meeting place. It will be a true regional asset. When groups have a meeting there, we want them to know by the interior design and artwork that they are in Titusville, surrounded by history and a proud heritage." The Community Revitalization Program is administered by the state Department of Community and Economic Development. CONTACT: Michael A. Hengst
