FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE New Notary Public Applications AvailableRevised form is more readable and "user friendly"The newly revised notary public application forms are now available at Senator Bob Robbins' District Offices in Greenville and Meadville. "The application has been reduced from a four-page form to two pages and is formatted in a way that will make it easier for applicants to fill out," Senator Robbins said. "I have these new forms available and my staff is ready to assist in filing their applications." All notary public applications must be endorsed by the State Senator representing the applicant. The Department of State, which administers the notary public process, recently provided the new application to all State Senators' offices. Applicants no longer have to submit two references, but are required to verify that they are of good moral character and are familiar with the duties and responsibilities of a notary public. Information about becoming a notary public and the application are also available online at www.dos.state.pa.us/notaries (link to "Become a Notary"). Contact: Michael Hengst
