October 18, 2006 - HARRISBURG – Pictured
with Senator Bob Robbins and Representative Rod Wilt in the
Senate Chamber are from left to right Sarah O'Malley, Lt.
Governor Knoll, Haley Nottingham, Lauren McCrillis, and Sam
Giegel. Sarah, Haley, Lauren and Sam, all eighth grade
students who attend St. Michael School in Greenville, served
as guest pages this week for Senator Robbins and
Representative Wilt. As part of their duties as guest
pages, the students delivered correspondence between
legislative offices, attended meetings and the session of
the Senate and House of Representatives. "The guest page
program is an excellent opportunity for young people to get
a close up view of their government in action," stated
Senator Robbins. |

provided a keynote address -- urging students to become active participants in our democracy. |

October 10, 2006 - Greenville: Senator Robbins takes part in a mock Senate
Committee meeting. |

October 10, 2006 -Greenville: High School Senior Katie Gerard, a senior at
Cambridge Springs High School, served as the "Lieutenant
Governor," presiding over the mock Senate. Senator Robbins
presented Katie with a gavel from the day's session. |

October 6, 2006: Dr. Lance Masters, President of Thiel
College, presented Senator Robbins with a photo
commemorating the Senator's involvement in securing state
funding to pay for renovations at Thiel. The funds will also
be used to establish a new neuroscience major as a result of
the partnership with Thiel graduate Frederick Haer, whose
company (FHC Inc.) has plans to develop a Neuromodulation
Clinic in Greenville.

 October 3, 2006: Senator
Robbins stands with Al Rutherford, a representative of the
Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.
Mr. Rutherford, on behalf of U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer
Christopher R. McNamara, presented Senator Robbins with a
United States flag that was flown over Camp Delta,
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba during Operation Enduring Freedom. The
certificate states that the flag was presented to Senator
Robbins "in the spirit of patriotism and as a tribute to
those who lost their lives in terrorist attacks on the
United States of America and to those who continue to fight
in the Global War on Terrorism." |
