September 20, 2006: The Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee held a hearing on Senator Robbins' legislation, the Home Energy Assistance in Time Of Need -- or HEAT ON -- Act. The hearing featured testimony by Major John Griner (left), Commander in Chief of the Salvation Army, and Ron Errett (right), CEO of the Community Action Partnership of Mercer County testified on the legislation.

September 6, 2006: Senator Robbins held a press conference unveiling legislation to further combat methamphetamine in Pennsylvania by requiring home owners and landlords to disclose to buyers/renters whether the premises were used as a meth lab. Joining Robbins were Attorney General Tom Corbett, State Senator Joe Scarnati (R-25), State Rep. Mike Gruitza (D-7), Mercer County Commissioner Michele Brooks, Mercer County District Attorney Jim Epstein, Mercer County Assistant District Attorney Robert Kochems, Mercer County Sheriff Bill Romine, Sharpsville Mayor Ken Robertson, Hermitage Commissioner Bill Moder, Greenville-West Salem Chief of Police Dennis Stephens, Hermitage Chief of Police Pat McElhinny, Sharon Chief of Police Tom Berke, Sharpsville Chief of Police Keith Falasco, Southwest Mercer County Chief of Police Riley Smoot, Jr., and Titusville Chief of Police Mike Simmons, who brought this idea to Senator Robbins attention.
